Rainbow Dash is off to compete for the best flyer in Equestria when Twilight Sparkle, in an effort to get the non pegasi of the group up to the clouds to watch the competition, casts a spell that gives Rarity wings. Rarity outshines Rainbow Dash and other pegasi are bewildered by her beautiful wings. Rainbow Dash's nerves get worse as it's her turn to go on stage and try to perform a previously un achieved trick, the Sonic Rainboom.
